Summer twilight is enlivened with Brown bats and Nighthawks. Crooked stemmed Blue chicory, yellow Mullein and Salsify seed heads reach to the sun past the perched Cedar waxwings. Dragonflies buzz through the Sagebrush Mariposa lilies, and dried Bachelor’s buttons while bright Sumac blossoms line the water banks amidst the white Mock Orange flowers and Kinniknick berries. The sweet smell of Sagebrush and Cicada’s song fill the air of the warm evenings.
