Everything is starting to wake up with new life. Lambs are born, Mule Deer are shedding their antlers. Pussy willows and sticky Cotton Wood buds peal away from barren stems. The first signs of wildflowers are seen as snowbells peeking out of the frozen Earth, with them the first bees and box elder beetles warming themselves in the sun. The Columbia Parsley is the first sign of color along the basalt crags along the canyon.
